Whiskey Smash 1st Drink On Me style

With this Whiskey Smash recipe, 1st Drink On ME decided to use agave syrup instead of the traditional simple syrup the recipe calls for. At first, we were considering brown sugar simple syrup, but instead opted for the agave, which I think gives the Whiskey Smash a much more earthy flavor.


1/2 Lemon (cut into three wedges)

3/4 oz. Agave syrup

6 Mint leaves

1 Mint sprig

2 oz. Bourbon

In a mixing glass, muddle lemons (10 presses). Add remaining ingredients with ice and shake well. Double strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Slap mint sprig on the back of your hand then place it in the glass as a garnish.
