RG3 injured again

Robert Griffin III is out again. The once heralded quarterback from Baylor University, who has been injury prone throughout his NFL career, all with the Washington Redskins, left Thursday’s preseason game against the Detroit Lions with a concussion.

Griffin, attempting to recover a fumble, was hit by Lions lineman Corey Wooton as he fell to the ground. Griffin, who played four series against the Lions only completed 2-5 passing for 8 yards, and fumbled twice. A highly ineffective outing for the fourth year pro.

According to the USA Today, Redskins coach, Jay Gruden, assured the media that when 100% healthy, Griffin would be the starting quarterback this season.

“We’ll have to wait, go through the whole process, see how he recovers, see how fast he recovers,” Gruden said in his postgame news conference.

Several Redskins insiders question whether it is time for RGIII to hang it up in what appears to be another injury riddled season. An anonymous Redskins player told Yahoo! Sports, “How do you keep sending him out there?”
