Metta World Peace back with Lakers

The man formerly known as Ron Artest is back in the NBA, once again joining forces with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. World Peace was an integral part of the last banner the Lakers raised in 2010.

After the Lakers won the NBA title in the 2008-2009 season, they let defensive specialist Trevor Ariza go and proceeded to replace him with World Peace.

Metta came up big against both the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics in the 2010 postseason to help lead the Lakers to back-to-back titles. He all but sealed the title for the Lakers when he hit a three-pointer over Celtics guard Paul Pierce with seconds left in game seven of The Finals.

World Peace received a non-guaranteed, 1-year deal with the Lakers, meaning he is only guaranteed to be with the team throughout training camp.
