First in, Oregon romps Arizona for Pac-12 Title

The University of Oregon has solidified its spot in the College Football Playoff by dominating Pac-12 South Champion Arizona. Heisman candidate Marcus Mariotta led the Ducks to its second Pac-12 Championship in four years. This was the first year the Pac-12 Championship has been played on a neutral site, hosted at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.

After losing to Arizona earlier in the year, Oregon bounced back in a major way, defeating the Wildcats 51-13. Mariotta threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns before Arizona scored a late touchdown on the last play of the game. Coming into the game, Arizona was ranked No. 7 in the nation, while Oregon was ranked No. 2.

For now, Oregon looks to be headed to the semi-final game to be hosted at the Rose Bowl. However, depending on what happens in the SEC Championship game, they could be headed to the Sugar Bowl if Missouri upsets No. 1 Alabama.
